Slapped a couple of these on the glossy black chest piece of my build and the gold foil catches light like real metal trim. They're thin enough to sit flush over curves without silvering.
I was worried the foil would look cheesy on a small scale, but the stamping is subtle and genuinely looks like metal. Applied a few strips along the edge of a black-painted kit and the shine holds up even under a desk lamp.
The gold foil really pops against glossy black, way more than plain white decals do. Took a bit of patience getting the long strips to lay flat without silvering, but once set they look sharp.
